About Staging...

Why should I "stage" my home?  In this millenium, home ownership has been redefined by HGTV -- shows like Flip or Flop and Property Brothers have raised the bar on the expectations of home buyers. Every homeowner wants the perfect living space, especially when they are in the market for a new home. Professionally preparing a home for sale by accentuating its best features has been proven to sell homes much faster.  It takes only a minimal investment of time and money - considerably less than a price reduction!

When a potential buyer is looking at a house, they often know if they are interested within the first 15 seconds. Many home buyers browse the internet for houses before making appointments to see them. If the images online show empty spaces — or worse, over-furnished or crowded spaces — potential buyers may lose interest without even seeing the home. It makes all the difference to visualize a space when it is properly furnished, and staged homes are set apart from their competition. In the current real estate market, this is crucial!

Your goal is to sell quickly at a fair price.  A survey by a large national real estate brokerage showed that staged homes sell in half the time, and another real estate survey* showed that staging a home resulted in a 586% return on investment.  So be prepared to mentally separate yourself from your personal belongings, move some furniture, and field better offers on the road to your successful sale!

About Nikki...

A creative entrepreneur in business since 1994, Inside Out Designers' principal, Nikki O'Connell Muise, has traveled extensively and is influenced both artistically and technically by her exposure to the world's diverse architecture.  She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of fine arts focused on design, minoring in interior design and drafting/AutoCAD.  Nikki's love for art and experience in graphic and fine arts compelled her to combine her art and technical talents.

As a designer, Nikki unifies her natural color and space planning senses with her solid academic training.  Her experiences include collaborating on large construction projects, working intimately with families in their homes, staging homes for sale, and staging themes for weddings and parties, up to and including the invitations.  Nikki's technical skills complement her design style, whether it is applied to a logo, a website or a home.  She views designing a website in the same way as decorating a home ~ after all, good design is good design!
